I came home early today and realised, I haven’t had any time to do a ‘proper’ food shop but nothing could drag me out to a grocery store on a Saturday afternoon (its Easter weekend!). I looked in the fridge and found 2 smoked sausages. I started with these at first whilst I looked for some more ingredients and found a left over roast chicken breast and a small container with left over roasted asparagus. So in they went into the pot with some caramelised onions, some sweet chilli sauce and my favourite ingredient, the king of hot sauces …Sriracha sauce! A quick sprinkling of salt and black pepper completed this concoction and it looked so delicious that I had to take a quick photo! Tired or no tired, this dish really deserved a picture on my hall of food photos before I devoured it for my late lunch.
The only way I remember what I cook these days is if I take a photo and post it on this blog. I lose track of the dishes I make and create every day, and even though I keep reminding myself that I will write them down, despite the good intentions it never really happens. I do wish there were more hours in a day, but I know I’d work my life away …. specially as work entails creating food.
